Pricing and FAQs
Hopefully this answers some of your questions, but please don’t hesitate to get in contact.
What are your fees?
Sessions are 50 minutes and cost £120. Fees are invoiced and payed 24 hours prior to the session.
On some occasions, I may suggest we have a longer session and will discuss this with you in advance.
Can I use my health insurance?
I am registered with Bupa and Aviva and I am happy to work with you, using these insurance companies. Please contact me if you are using a different provider, to see if I can help.
How long does therapy take?
This varies greatly depending on the person and I will discuss this with you. After your initial appointment, if you choose to go ahead, I usually recommend committing to weekly sessions for at least 6 weeks. This is so that we can get a good understanding of your difficulties and have some ‘momentum’ in working towards your goals. We will consistently review this together and you are free to end sessions whenever you want to. Some people have many more sessions (e.g. 20-30) and we will always review this together to ensure that therapy is continuing to be beneficial.
What therapy models do you use?
I use a range of evidence-based psychological models. This means that they have been well-researched and found to be helpful in reducing distress and improving wellbeing. I will draw on different models, depending on your needs and preferences:
For more information about these models, click on the links above, or see our ‘How I Can Help’ section
What is your cancellation policy?
Once you have booked an appointment, you will need to give 48 hours' notice to cancel the appointment without charge. Otherwise, you will be charged in full for the cancelled appointment.
Where are sessions held?
I use Microsoft Teams to offer sessions online via a secure video platform. If you need any support setting this up, I am happy to help you.
Do you offer in person sessions?
Not currently but I am looking to do so in the future. This will likely be in the Brackley (Northamptonshire)/ Banbury (Oxfordshire) area.
Is therapy online effective?
People often worry that they won’t be able to connect with their therapist online. However, I repeatedly receive feedback that this is not the case and clients feel safe, connected and comfortable having therapy online. I have had experience myself of receiving therapy online and have also found it to be successful.
People often find it very convenient to have therapy online, because you can do it from the comfort of your own home or in a private room in the office, and avoid travel time.
I am happy to offer the free 15-minute call via the video platform (Microsoft Teams) if you want to try it first and ask me any questions.
Occasionally, I feel that someone would benefit from being seen in person, in which case, I will let you know and try to offer suggestions for finding the right therapist for you.
