What to Expect 

It can be daunting to ask for help, especially if you are reaching out for the first time, or you have had a difficult experience in the past. I hope that my relaxed and warm approach will help to put you at ease and make the process that bit easier. Here is what you can expect:

Free 15-Minute Chat

I offer a free 15 minute call for you to tell me a little about what you are struggling with and how you want things to be different. You can also ask any questions you might have. We will decide together if I am likely to be the right therapist for you. If you are keen to go ahead, we will book our initial paid appointment. There is no obligation to book an appointment if you decide you don't want to.

Working Together

During your initial paid appointment we will think together in more depth about what you are struggling with, how this may have come about, and what’s keeping you stuck. This will likely take a few sessions and we will go at a pace that feels safe for you, as we gradually get to know each other more. We will use your expertise of your own life, and I will draw upon different psychological models to jointly make sense of your story. This will enable us to set goals and plan our work together.

 I will give you an idea of how many sessions you are likely to need and we will continue to review this throughout. Sessions will be 50 minutes and held weekly.

If I feel that another therapist may be more suited to working with you, I can try to help direct you to find the right person.
